The bloke round here never asks you to sign for your parcel, but when you check the tracking it always says 'signed for by customer' Quite worrying really, I've reported it a few times but he doesn't change.. So I just hope I never have anything expensive delivered by them. X

I just got a delivery from them and its shocking! Brought loads of presents from boots and look.....

That's just some of them!

The bottom right is when I opened it...

They really are not my favourite company. I have a big house so unless you ring the bell I don't hear it, and I tell him every time to ring the bell, he is grumpy and can't even be bother to out the card through the letter box, it's stuck in the edge of the door. Which annoys me to end! I have often saw him leaving and called out and he is got happy at all to come back.

Plus all his boxes are squashed and damaged as they a piled I to his car. Grrrrr.

My OH works for them too-The money isnt good IMO. You cant take any time off, you do and thats you gone..you get Christmas day/boxing day/new years day and thats it. You get blamed for poor packaging resulting in broken items, if company shoves many items in one box with no padding then yeh, during its hundreds of miles in random vehicles theres a good chance it will get broken. They have to stuff the cars with parcels, OH gets 45p per delivery (no matter if on the 1st delivery attempt or the 3rd) ..meaning if he leaves half behind to go get them later it uses more petrol meaning he gets even less money. It works out that hes on way less than min wage-you have to take into account petrol, inusurance (you arent insured to use the vehicle for work so need new/additional insurance), wear and tear on car, pay your own tax/NI, OH had to buy a new phone as people will actually ring in the middle of the night to tell you when they want a re-delivery and then has to use this to make calls back to people..its really not a easy way to make money but a job is a job at the end of the day.

Thanks for all your info it sounds like quite a lot of outgoings for 45p a parcel I didn't realize you would be giving your number out either thank u

You have to give your number out as if you miss a delivery you have to put a card through with your number on so they can ring you to re-arrange the delivery.
As if to prove a point OH has just arrived home-his car has broke, probably from doing this for the last month and they have told him it gets fixed by tomorrow or his job is gone..we cant afford £600 to fix the car so hes more than likely lost his job now. Fun times!

Awwno that's awful they seem quite harsh I think ill give it a miss. Hope your oh gets car sorted

I would be blaming boots for them damages it's looks like they just threw it in when packing and no air pockets?

Sounds like you don't get much for doing it 45p a parcel is nothing when you think of the price of petrol.
