Herpes and pregnancy.

I've had herpes for a long time and only ever had one outbreak. With all of my pregnancies i've take acyclovir in the last few weeks as a precaution.

Well, I've recently started taking them but i feel like i have a sore down there suddenly. I have a doc appt tomorrow and am gonna ask about it. But i was wondering if anyone here has had an outbreak around their due date and what they did?

I'm terrified of a c section.

Generally if you have an outbreak at that time, it does end in a c-section because the infection can be passed to the baby through the birth canal. If you can get it cleared up before then, you should be good to go.

I don't know if it is the same thing but my good friend's sister has genital warts and she gave birth vaginally. My friend was there for the birth and said she could see an outbreak but they still let her deliver vaginally. Could be different though, not sure. Hope you just cut yourself shaving or something!
