We've just started to give our LO some first tastes of food e.g. rice and milk, banana but he doesn't want it. He is only 5 and a bit months so i'm not too worried but i was expecting him to love it. He just wants to suck on the spoon. I've decided that he isn't ready and will try him again soon. I was wondering at what point you should start worrying that they aren't interested in solids? My HV was happy for him to be on 2 meals a day at 6 months so what if he isn't on any?

Ruby was on no solids until just over 7 months (we do BLW) she was fine. Sleeping through, gaining loads of weight, happy. For me I think I'd have started asking questions if Ruby hadn't been eating by 9 months.

Lots of babies don't love food to start with!

we tried alfie with purees initially and he really didnt like them or the spoon so we left it for a while and then introduced baby led weaning which he really enjoys
