Hey ladies! so i come here and disappear occasionally haha life and work and ttc just get me so busy and exhausted

this month I am going through IUI #1 + Ovidrel so i'm nervous and excited all at the same time. Just want to reintroduce myself since I feel like I don't stay long enough for anyone to remember me haha I will be around a lot more now that things are starting to move forward so quickly

I don't mind at all.. the IUI itself is $298. The ultrasounds before the IUI are all covered by my insurance with a copay of $30 per appointment. Meds are costing me about $32 ( i got a deep discount on the ovidrel through the EMD Serono Compassionate care program)

so the whole thing should cost me about $400 ish

@ Mrs. Atole https://fertilitylifelines.com/?q=save-fertility-treatments/savings-self-pay-patients it is an income based program which helps with select meds (Ovidrel, Gonal-F, Cetrotide .. i'm not sure what else... but depending on income you can get up to 75% off, which is amazing if you click the link there is an option to apply online- they do ask for proof of income- i used my tax return from last year hope that helps

@ zoe2010 Hi an IUI is Intrauterine Insemination they take sperm from DH and wash it to get rid of all the dead or slow swimmers and then through a catheter insert the best swimmers close to the Fallopian tubes- the idea is to take the best swimmers and shorten the distance they have to go as much as possible.. they still have to find the egg and fertilize it

@ Mrs. Atole it has an option to search for a pharmacy that accepts the discount. there was none near me so i used freedom fertility pharmacy which is a mail order pharmacy- everything went really smooth and the discount on the ovidrel was really helpful
