hi...we hav seen male fs, we now hav to sa tests dec, then follow up app's feb...when we deciede where to go frm there, im guessin it will b ivf an i dont knw any1 who has been threw it, we been ttc 25 mths now on month 26, i had app's frm march with my fs, we now seem to b starting frm scratch with our male fs... Could any1 let me knw proceedures, time scales etc...thank you...x x

Sorry can't really help. We had initial tests such as SA and bloods organised through our GP and have since seen just one FS who is the FS for us both, rather than having separate ones.

Good luck though, am sure some people will have some better answers for you. xx

hi if you go private you can get seen pretty much straight away and start treatment.
If you go NHS you will be on the waiting list. how quick you get an appt will depend on:

1) if you have any children already
2) your age
and maybe other things. We dont have any kids and im 38 so we were told 3 -6 months

hope that helps x

thank you, did u get options b4 u hav been offered ivf? Im 23, my db 37 neither of us hav children... What does ivf entail? I knw they take ur eggs an mix with sperm, an u hav to hav shots2make u produce more eggs, but thats as much as i knw...just any info appreciated so i can knw what to expect x x

hi because of our age we were not offered anything else..

I donated eggs for my sis a few years ago so i know what the process is

firstly you are young, which is good.
firstly go to your gp and get yor FSH and progestergone test, these are done on the 3rd and 21st day of your period. This will tell you if you ahve any hormone issues. if you do they cna give you medication for that

IVF is an umbrella , there are a few options , i dont know all of them im afraid. deoending on what you have (IUI, ICIS, IVF) will depend on the cost. IVF is the most expensive..

IVF: have a look at this website , it should explain everything

good luck x
