Hey, so i suppose i fall into the long term category. i am new to this forum stuff, and i dont understand all the acronyms haha, so be patient with me.

my husband and i have been trying for 5 years, i am 26, he is 29. i found out last week that i have PCOS but i ovulate pretty regularly. she put me on 500MG of metformin 3x a day, its making me sick as all hell, but if that means im gonna lose weight then im A-okay with it lol. she said i did ovulate this month, so now im in my TWW. the doctor said as soon as my husbands sperm gets tested, and it turns out okay, then she'll prescribe me clomid. im trying to be very hopeful, i was actually relieved that she said i had PCOS because that meant there was something we could try. just thought id say hi, i dont know a lot about all of this stuff, so im gonna be a bit of a watcher and a question asker, i hope you dont mind.

Welcome! Im Carrie. Ive been TTC for 17 months (Not as long as u, but a long time!) but NTNP our entire 10 year relationship. I have "unexplained infertility". All my tests have come back normal, as did DHs SA. My dr today just prescribed me Clomid to take CD 3-7 next cycle. Hopefully, it helps. I didnt want to R&R! Good luck to u!

Hey Carrie! Nice to meet you, even under the reasons we're here. Please let me know how the clomid goes! I'm really eager to get put on it, I'm kinda done with waiting for a natural conception at this point.

Hey MH53ADwife,

I too have PCOS, I was diagnosed with it this year.

My DH (Dear Husband) and I have been TTC (Trying to Conceive) for 16 months now.

I went on Clomid this summer and got pregnant on the second month. I miscarried at 7 weeks, but then get pregnant again about 3 weeks later. I am now 6 weeks pregnant and hopeful although there are some problems so my doctor has warned me not to get excited yet. Anyhow, I just wanted to let you know that there is lots to be hopeful about.

(You can read more about my story on my blog https://asformeandmyhouseforever.blogspot.ca/)

My favourite LTTTC (Long Term Trying to Conceive) blog is https://www.999reasonstolaugh.com/ perhaps you can find a laugh there.

Feel free to ask any questions you may have, we are all here to answer.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

oh wow that really makes me hopeful! im sorry about your loss though! i wish you a healthy 9 months, and congratulations!

I also have a Mild Case Of PCOS. I was put on Metformin 6 months ago for it but it didnt help my body much. I had a follow up app. today to be exact. and my OB prescribed me compound progesterone idk exactly what it is or how I have to take it due to the Pharmacy said it will be ready 24-48 hour cause it is made there.. I guess metformin is a synthetic & the compound progesterone is not. We have been trying for over a year but just started going to the doctor 8 months ago. I have a follow up in 3 months & if we aren't pregnant by then i am going on Clomid.

sorry to write everything but easier to put the whole story out there lol

BABY DUST TO YOU ALL
