Has anyone had high AFP levels?

The doctor called and told me my levels were borderline high 1:263 and that I need to speak with a genetic counselor.

Is this the one that indicates baby may have a chance of having spina bifida? If so I'm going thru the same thing. Scary but hoping baby is fine

My results were 1:202 risk of Down Syndrome. That was with the AFP. Just my age put me at 1:161. Doc gave us options such as leaving it alone, level 2 ultrasound or a Fetal DNA blood test. We chose the blood test which is 99% accurate in detecting Down Syndrome plus we will know the gender with it. Should know within 2 weeks! My doc said the cutoff for high risk is about 280.
