Do you mean, is it a valid reason for C-section?
I declined one myself but yes, some providers will use a macrosomic infant (ie. "big baby") as a valid criteria for scheduled cesearean, primarily if one has a history of shoulder dystocia or other risk factors for dystocia (maternal obesity, previous incident, shoulder measures, etc...)
When we discussed my birth options, the OBGYN had a form that clearly listed suspected macrosomic infant as a factor that may be used.
It depends on the provider though - my midwife does not consider it as a factor for elective C-section, even with my history of dystocia.
