I posted this in the third trimester forum, but i think I'll get more responses here..

So, I went into an appointment Monday and my blood pressure was high, they took it three different times and it was high all of those times. So they sent me to labor and delivery. I was kept overnight to be monitored. My blood pressure was really high one hour, then normal the next.. Then it would go up again. It was normal and stayed normal once I was in bed and on my left side for about 6 hours. Then they sent me home in the morning. There was no protein in my urine & all of my other tests came back fine.

I've been getting frequent headaches that don't last more than an hour and I've been seeing stars too. Could this be because of my blood pressure? & What would cause it to go up and down like it was? Has anyone experienced this and developed preeclampsia later on?

Also, don't know if this is related to blood pressure or not. But I've been getting period like cramps that are irregular. They aren't like the braxton hicks i'm used to, they actually kinda hurt.. Any Ideas on those?

Hey hun I had headaches and stars with high BP
with last pregnancy. I'm now on alert watching if if creeps
up with this one. Stars is not good and yes can mean BP is very high.

Yes, headaches and vision disturbances can be an indication of high blood pressure. Sometimes your blood pressure can be high without symptoms as well. It's good that there is no protein in your urine. I would definitely suggest keeping a sharp eye on your bp though.

Headaches can definitely be because of HBP. They should put you on meds, there are meds out there that are totally safe, did they say what they will be doing for you? I would get a BP monitor and keep it in your home and take your BP and watch it. If it doesn't stabalize you should be put on meds//
HBP is normal in pregnancy but if it gets to high it needs to be put under control.. Good Luck :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

Ok I just saw you are 36 weeks , maybe they can put you on meds for 4 weeks? I don't know how that works when you are so close to birth, maybe they will just be watching it, not sure. Hope you get it under control XOXO
