My little boy has been at his little table for 6 months but he has recently stopped eating his meals and getting up and walking around, he did the same today so I've gotten his high chair back out and he's eating his meal no problem, I was wondering weather to start using the high chair again for a while to see if he continues to eat his meals again or just persevere with his little table he eats at a table at nursery and I don't want to confuse things. He is 3 in June.

I wouldn't worry about a table versus a high chair "confusing" things. Just use what works.

Any age is fine! Don't let anyone tell you he's too old for a high chair. If he fits, he can use it!

I asked a related question recently and someone suggested a junior chair from Ikea, basically the seat but is higher so they can sit at the table comfortably. My LG loves it and she can eat with the family. It's too high for her to easily get off though she can climb up sobwiuld discourage walking about

We use a booster seat that straps to a regular chair so my youngest can sit up to the table. It has a seatbelt so she can't escape 😊

Ds1 was in a high chair until quite old as we never really sat at the table to eat meals so it didn't really occur to move him out of his chair and on to a booster seat. I don't think age matters I can not stand it when my children mess around at the table so I'd move them back too if it worked

If my son gets up it means his meal is finished and it's taken away. He doesn't get up until he's finished now

We do the same, except that we only buckle him because he insists on it! Yesterday though, he wanted to sit at the little table, so he did. He then came up to my lap to steal my food when his plate was empty! He seems to sit at the table better than Violet did at the same age. Violet sits at it fine now. It just takes time to learn the skill.

My 3 yo still uses her high chair at home. It works for us!
