I have the ikea cheapie one but I hate cleaning the tray all the time and it doesn't fit around the table. I'd really like a high chair that uses the table, do people know what I mean? I think something like the Stokke trip trap, I don't mind paying but just wanted to get some recommendations if possible.

I'm not sure if I understand what you mean but I recently bought a Graco simpleswitch highchair. It fits in the table, now I'm able to sit my baby with us, put her toys in front of her and let her play and she likes it almost all the time. The good thing about this highchair is that I can switch the chair to the dining chairs when she grows up.

We have a baby chair that just straps onto a regular chair. So when we are sitting at the island we can strap her onto one of the bar chairs and she can sit at the island with us, and when we are sitting at the dining room table we strap her onto one of the table chairs so she can sit there with us. It was given to us second hand so I'm not sure what brand it is. We don't even have a tray for her.

I'm either gonna have to get a booster and a new dining chair as we only have 4, or a proper high chair. I tried her in one of her brothers boosters and she sat fine she just wasn't boosted up enough so her forehead was at the level of the table! But yeah i think a booster would be better

I have one similar to the Tripp trapp but cheaper and we're really pleased with it. I'll see if I can find the link.

Asda do a cheap version of the Tripp trapp and it was fab, it fits under the table and you can use the table. I'm sure it was only about £30.

Have you tried taking the tray off the IKEA one and pushing the seat bit up against the table - that's what I did with my 2 and it worked well, though depends on the height of your table.

Thanks for the ideas, we've gone for the mamas and papas bud booster chair and just happened to bid on some dining chairs that match ours on eBay (can only buy ours as a complete set), so hopefully she will be good in that. The ikea high chair just looks massive at the moment in the small space!
