We bought LO this https://www.dunelm-mill.com/shop/kids-beep-beep-collection-play-table-and-chairs-238524 for xmas and just set it up today, not sure if he will sit at it for meals, he almost 23 months. So in your house when did the high chair go?

I do have a booster seat at the table but the tables always covered with rubbish :dohh: so he don't use it that much!

I bought a set from ikea as at 16m Edward was threatening to topple his highchair. Earl stopped using the highchair in favour of a small table and stool about the age of 2. However his was one you strap to a standard chair aol a lot more sturdy

Should point out that my boys track above 75th (earl) and 99th(Edward) for weight and eddy especially is huge and very good at climbing for his age lol. If you have more normal size children then i should think they last longer lol

We packed it away after his 3rd birthday xx

ASAP! i HATE high chairs they are soo... icky and hard to clean :haha: my LO has a wooden toddler chair at the table now and my baby has an ikea high chair as its all plastic and the straps come off easily to put through the washer :p

They were both around 1 1/2 when they stopped using their high chairs. My youngest sits in a booster (without straps) at the table because he's still a smidge too short.

We got a booster seat that starts from 6 months and kept it in the back of the car for use in restaurants etc. When she was about 12 months we put it permanently at the dining table and also got her a little child set of table and chairs, we then ditched the highchair - it was getting grubby and ripped and hard to clean. She probably stopped using the booster seat about 2 years old and now sits on a normal chair or her kiddy chair and table.

Think with this one we'll get one of those wooden highchairs that sits at a table or just use the 6m+ booster. Much prefer them to highchairs.

We got a Stokke Tripp Trapp hair when Tom was 9 months old - it converts all the way up to an adult seat so he still uses it now.

We took the reins off at around 12 months and the baby set at about 16 months - he's been using it as a chair since then.

I never used one. Booster anx regular chair around two years. My first two I had all that stuff but this time around I only used things that were needed. The highchair is just one more thing to wash and store.

We have the Svan high chair and it's very similar :) I like it!

Ds still uses one at in laws and booster at my parents.
We got rid of the highchair a couple of months before he was 2 and he'd not used it for a while.
He sits on a normal chair at the table.

We stopped using the highchair at her 2nd birthday. She sits on a booster seat at the table now. We don't have a toddler size table and chairs yet but I want one.

I've just bought a small chair from Ikea and am waiting for the table to come back in stock. Was thinking maybe a booster seat is better as we would be at the table together but I like the little table/chair because she won't be strapped in and can get down when she is done. Sometimes she is fussy so I want to try letting her get down and come back later. She eats at a small table at nursery so she should be used to it already. She's nearly 18 months x

Although we do have a small table and chair set which she sits at for snacks in the lounge, we mostly eat our meals at the dining table, so until recently she was still in the highchair. Over the past few weeks though she has ditched her highchair in favour of a normal dining chair ( she is 2 and 5 months) because as she says 'shes a big girl now'. Tbh she has done really well, she clambers up into the chair but usually just sits still and eats with the rest of us but it was her choice, she decided she was ready :)

We just got rid of the highchair yesterday, Emily was climbing in & out of it herself & it was getting a bit dangerous, i was afraid she'd topple it over, my parents got her a really cute table & chairs set for Christmas so she's using this now, although she won't sit still for long, she's been eating on the go today, how will I get her to sit still & eat? :growlmad:

She stopped tolerating the high chair at around 17 months, so I switched her to a booster seat.

We're still using one :dohh: We got him the Ikea small table & chairs last Christmas & he has breakfast & lunch at it. But we eat dinner as a family at our dining table & he still goes in the high chair then. We bought a booster seat for our regular dining chairs around his 2nd birthday but he hates it with a passion & he won't sit on a normal chair to eat.. He just gets up & goes. I'm packing it away on his birthday in April whatever cos with new baby coming, I need space for a bouncy chair instead!

We have one of these so Esther still uses it. It will take her to at least 8 years. We still have the straps on as otherwise she just gets off. I couldn't deal with the stress of having her in a normal chair plus I always like to have meals with all of us at the table.
