Anyone else with high FSH? I'm only 30 and just found out I have an FSH level of 12.9. We have a 2 year old son so this definitely came as a big surprise. A quick google search has me feeling pretty hopeless. I saw that many clinics won't even consider IVF if you are over 12. I don't see my doctor until Thursday so I'm not sure what their policy is. I haven't even had my HSG test yet which is where I thought we'd definitely find issues (and still may  )

Definitely not! My amh was 4.2 and last ivf cycle I had no eggs. After being on supplements and herbs for two months we are now pregnant.

How long have you been trying for your second? We are only 6 weeks so not through the woods yet but at least I could get pregnant.

Make sure they find out why your fsh so high. Reason for my amh being so low is due to endometriosis.

Hi unlucky,

We've been trying since our miscarriage last year. I thought for sure the problem would be caused by scar tissue (and it still could be) so finding out about the FSH was a shock. I've done a lot of reading since then, and it seems like it's still possible just a lot more difficult. It's also less likely my insurance will cover things, and I'm not even sure if our clinic will help. It's been a rough weekend processing everything. We get out SA and HSG next week so I'll have a better idea then.

Congrats on your pregnancy! I've been reading your journal and was really encouraged that you were written off by your doctor and then got pregnant naturally right after that! Your AMH levels must be reported differently from mine because 4 would actually mean there are lots of eggs according to the scale that gave me. Either way, it's great you found a way to get pregnant with low eggs. What supplements did you take? If my HSG turns up clear, I'll probably try anything I can!

Photo totally understand when I was 30 I found out my amh was equivalent to a 40 year old. These news are hard to process.

Supplements taking omega3, nac, magnesium, coq10, prenatal vit, vit e, pregnancy probiotics, mthfer.

I also take a cocktail of herbs which I don't remember what is in it. It is basically to balance my hormones. Due to endometriosis estrogen is high and progesterone is low so the herbs helps to promote progesterone.

Best to get a nathropath to customize the formula to your results.

Hope you get some good news soon

Try wheat grass I started taking it and my FSH dropped to 6. and I am in my 40's.

Just wanted to let you know that I am in the same boat as you. My official diagnosis of diminished ovarian reserve was a hard pill for me to swallow. Nothing makes you feel youthful when your RE tells you at 29 that you are like a 40 year old. 40 is not even old, but apparently they think it's ancient if you are trying to have a baby. My FSH was 9 and my AMH was 0.76 when it was checked last time. I have NO signs or symptoms of endometriosis, but the RE thinks it has contributed to the DOR. I have done a lot of research and I must have "silent endometriosis."

I did get pregnant in June but I miscarried in August. I'm still waiting to meet with my RE again about next steps. I got pregnant with the help of Femara + Ovidrel Trigger + IUI+ lots of prayer + lots of vitamins and supplements.

I take royal jelly, a conception vitamin pack with prenatal and CoQ10, multivitamin, DHEA, folic acid, and vitamin D.

Most of these were based on lab work and because the RE said to take them. I know some supplements can do more harm than good, so I wouldn't recommend taking anything without them saying it's ok. I also have low progesterone so I use the Young Living essential oil Progressence to help with that. I also use progesterone suppositories after ovulation.

Don't give up yet. There are lots of DOR success stories. The best thing is to make healthy lifestyle choices - drinking lots of water, eating lots of veggies, no sugar or alcohol or caffeine, no smoking - all of those things will help. Along with supplements. My RE is optimistic and says that people can have healthy pregnancies. It just takes a little more work.

Hang in there!! Let me know if you have any questions. I'll try and help the best I can. Ive been researching and reading as much as I can the past year!
