High risk of downs syndrome help!!!

Hiya all, Well got a phone call yesterday morning saying my results have came back saying my wee baby is high risk of downs syndrome 1:34. Going to the hospital tomorrow to talk about things. What sort of things should I be asking, any help would be very much appreciated. Had a lot of problems with this pregnancy, spotting, cramping, alot of blood then a blood clot. Head is all over the place. Sooo worried. Thanks x

Oh sweetie, I understand everything you're feeling. I to went through that experience. It can be very overwhelming. They will most likely offer a detailed scan and amnio.

There will most likely be a lot of information thrown at you, but slow them down at any time and ask for clarification. They will tell you statistics and break down the different types of ds for you. They will take detailed family history as well. Take your time, even though they may rush you to make a decision to do the amnio.

I had a scan and it looked suspect. I went with the amnio and my results came back positive. Despite, statistics and negative input from dr's, I knew I wanted to keep my son. We now have the love of our lives! I do however, know a lot of moms who had false alarms!
