high sugar- worried UPDATE

i had gd so i know im at high risk for type 2 diabetes, tonight i was really tired and sleepy, dh said let measure your sugar it was 200!
i'm gonna have to go see someone

Doctor has ordered HAB1C, and glucose, she was not happy with my values..
so I guess time will tell..

another Glucose Tolerance Test.. it's the second one 3months after baby is born. I got diagnosed with gestational diabetes at 28 weeks.

they never gave me a follow up one funnily enough, i will definitely ask about this.

200? what kind of monitor did you use? usually monitors dont read above 25, and 200? i dont mean to be harsh or anything, but thats not possible.

Kristy - depends what the monitor is set to read... above 200mg/dl is above 11mmol/l... https://www.labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/glucose/test.html

Cupcake - it is standard practice for hospitals to re test you three months afterwards to see if it has gone. Mine hasn't gone I don't think. Still get high readings

Cupcake, are you seeing a GP on wed? I got the all clear today.. still on the high side I got 6.8 or below 140. Still slightly high so got to watch it..
