:hi: all. Well we will be starting to wean E in about a months time and i was just looking for opinions/advice on what highchair to get?
We dont really want to spend loads as this is our last bubs,
It needs to be easy clean,
And most importantly it needs to be easy to get bubs out of. E has a cleft palate so her chances of choking are much higher than an 'average' child and we need to be able to get her out at a seconds notice.
Does anyone have any recommendations? TIA xx

We have got the Mothercare Myhi highchair. We haven't used it yet but others recommended it as it is easy to clean. I assembled it yesterday (even though I won't be using it for a month or so) and it was so easy to assemble and looks easy to clean. It is currently £24.99 on the Mothercare website so I thought that was very good! Obviously I have no experience in using it yet but so far so good!

OMG thats so strange. That was the EXACT one we were looking at! Only downside seems to be it doesnt collapse for storing but then again we hardly ever put the other ones away. x

we have the cosatto noodle. I LOVE it!!!
its pricey though £75 but well worth the money

How strange! I thought that about it collapsing as we might want to take it with us when we travel somewhere. The legs do come off quite easily though so, although it doesn't collapse, it can be taken apart easily and still fit in the car but may take up more space than a collapsible one.

Ikea Antilop! Dead cheap (about 16 quid including the tray!) and really easy to clean :) Also, when you get the tray, I have found that you don't need to use the harness as the tray keeps them in, which means that in an emergency they can be whipped out very quickly:thumbup:
It's not the fanciest looking highchair but does it's job very well!
Also, if your LO is small or prone to slumping then you can get blow up 'cushions' that help them sit up properly :)

Yet another i was looking at  Nice to get a good review of it x

I stumbled across reviews of it online when I was researching high chairs, and the general consensus seemed to be that it was one of the best high chairs out there, and not just cos of the price:thumbup: And now I've got it, I agree! I love it!!

For a free standing one I'd just get the cheap Ikea one. You can bung it in the shower or garden and hose it down if necessary :)

The option I prefer actually though are the ones you can either fix onto the table or ones that fasten to a normal dining chair. We have two of these - https://www.mothercare.com/Mothercare-Folding-Booster-Seat--Red/453109,default,pd.html. They are height adjustable for different tables and as the child gets older (we've used them from 6 months to nearly 4 years old so far), the tray comes off and they're easy enough to clean. I like that they fold up nicely for going away or even taking to a restaurant or home where you know there won't be a highchair.

I've got the ikea one and it meets all the points you've stated. Plus at £16 it's very cheap! I love mine. X

Thankyou ladies! We bought the ikea one :) We also got it second hand and although we bought it for almost the retail price it saved us a long journey to the nearest ikea :)

How about starting off with a Bumbo/M&P snug? They are really quick to get baby out of where they have no straps. Plus they take up almost no space :haha:

On a side note! Eek, nearly weaning time, that came round quick!

We were thinking that Sash but E is still so tiny i think she'd slip out of a bumbo. Reeeeeaaally wanted the snug but Dan said its too expensive for an 'inbetween' :( Might get it if i can find a cheapish one and keep it at my mums :)

We got the snug, and if you take the insert our then Bethany can fit in it easily and she is a little chunker, that's how I justified it

Let me know how the Ikea highchair is, we are looking into getting that as Sophie keeps managing to get the tray off the snug :dohh:

Will do :) Maybe the snug can be an 'early xmas pres....' that we forget about haha!!

I have the ikea one and it's fab, good choice!
