HIP grant rant- finally got my money.

sorry girls need to rant, been waiting for my HIP grant for 5 weeks now and today i recieved a form asking me about my imigration status and nationality and about my partners status. im sure i ticked no on the original form so i bet its cos i didnt fill in anything for the partner bit

'i didnt fill it in cos i have no partner you idiots!!'

how stupid are they, so now i have to send back this form during a postal strike and wait for it to be sorted out before i get the money, which i really need.

will try them on mon, the letter gives you a number and says 0800-2000 seven days a week but when i rang it it said they shut at 4pm on a sat and shut sun.
so organised arent they!

I didn't, mine was just fill in my name, DOB, due date and bank details. 13 days later it was in my account.

Hopefully yours will be sorted out soon.

yeah thats all i did, and there is a box saying are you subject to immigration control, im sure i ticked no, but now i have this form wanting to know my nationality and immigration status. and my partners. then it askes loads of other questions about refugee status.

what a pain in the bum.

I would give them a ring! Mine was in my bank account a week later but the place where my form went was only up the road! Hmmmm....did you remember to fill in your national insurance number...maybe thats why they're asking extra questions?! Hope you get it sorted soon! x

yea i got mines fairly quickly too, and i didnt have to declare a partner.

yep i put on my NI number, it even has it on this letter i need to return to them.

the same thing happened to me, its a pee take.. i no i filled it all out in the 1st place

took about a wk once i sent it off again, & constant calls

glad its not just me then, im sure i filled it in properly. hopefully they should have it now cos i posted a dvd rental back at the same time and my new rental has come, so hopefully the money will go in soon.
