Hip pain a symptom?

Does anyone know if hip pain can be a symptom? I only ask as I've been having pains over the last couple of days (they stop me in my tracks, and I can't move). In my previous pregnancy, they were the only thing that prompted me to see a doctor, and eventually find out. I don't think I can test for another week, but was just wondering.
