Just switched from c&g to Hipp and its been such an improvement in terms of wind, sick and poop etc. but I'm finding the foil sachet a bit annoying as its difficult getting the scoop in and out. Just wondered if anyone had any solutions to make it easier? Thinking of using a different tub?! Or a sealed jar? Thoughts?

They sell a plastic tub on their website. I empty the sachet into the tub. They told me in an email though that if you store it not in the foil packet, that they do not take responsibility if a baby gets ill. But I don't see anything wrong with emptying into a properly cleaned and dried container. That's what you do with those formula dispenser pots.

Oh great will have a look at those tubs. Are they like Tupperware tubs?

I use the Hipp plastic tub, but I do keep it in the foil packet. It is the most fiddley packaging out of the 4 brands (C&G and Aptamil have the best/easiest to use packaging IMO), but I have got used to it now, and DD3 loves Hipp. xxx

I bought the hipp tub and keep the foil bag inside the tub. It's less fiddly than the cardboard box as you can scrape the scoop against a hard surface so it's easier to get the powder IYKWIM

Bought a Tupperware click deal tub but it doesn't fit a whole sachet in and as its round there is nothing to level off scooper Grrrrr! Gonna buy the hipp tub and try that.
Don't know why their packaging is so fiddly and they don't just have normal tins/tubs?! Maybe to save money??
Apart from that our little girl is thriving on it so its worth it! Much less sicky and windy. Since being on it she's piled on so weight and finally back to birth weight woohoo! :)

They have done their packaging like that for a few reasons, to keep the cost down for us as it's a more expensive formula (800g when some are 900g for same price already) and because it can be recycled!
I don't mind it personally, but then I've never used other formulas so I don't know the difference.
If you're struggling using the cardboard ledge to level it why not use the back of a knife?

Hadn't thought of the recycling aspect.
I find the leveler they have with the floor sachets I end up losing formula out the sachet a d in to the box so wasting it. Yes the knife works well but I often and making up bottles with a crying hungry baby so it can't be done one handed. My son was on Aptimel and C&G and their tubs are great but thinking about it cant be recycled...
Does their Hipp tub have a leveler?

No the tub doesn't have a leveller in the corner, it's just a tub.

I use a basic container from IKEA which holds an entire packet and a small cheese knife to level (we're not that posh, it just ca e with Christmas gift!). Its the best for recycling and worst for use of all the brands.

No the tub doesn't have a leveller in the corner, it's just a tub.

well then thats just silly! Lol. It is a pain i sort of pull the sachet out under the leveller but the foil is hard to reclose too.

Oh that's a bit stupid it doesn't have a leveler... We finished our first box the other day and there was so much wastage at the bottom of the box that had come out of the foil sachets while scooping out. Am thinking of buying an aptamil tub and emptying it, washing it and using that?! Or do you think bad idea?
Apart from this I love hipp - been amazing for my daughter with her sick, wind gassy issues and she is putting on so much weight since we switched :) just wish the packaging was easier to use...

We use nutramigen and a little hipp (finally tolerating some normal milk! Yay!). The nutramigen comes in a round tub with no leveler. I use the back of a knife for both and pre measure it into the tommee tippee pots each evening. I also make as I go, so it means no counting with a crying baby.
