Hi I am 36 years old and have two living children, ages 12 and 10, and have miscarried 7 pregnancies, one of which was with twins in the beginning of my 2nd trimester. I am now 5 weeks 5 days pregnant. Last week on Tuesday I had blood work done to check my HCG levels, they came back 810. I followed up with another blood test on Thursday and my levels read 1637. Other than mild cramping "down there" I am fine. I am not sick, which makes me nervous. I am not tired, which really makes me nervous. I am just kinda paranoid about loosing another pregnancy. Is any one else having similar problems? I heard that if you have high levels of HCG it may possibly be twins? Is this true? Am I too early to have morning sickness? And I have increased in size in my stomach to the point that my pants, which fit fine, do not fit in the waist. My doctor also put me on Progesterone to help thicken the lining of my uterus.

I can't really help with the HCG questions, but I can tell you that I went through a lot of the same feelings early on, and did not relax until I had that 9 week ultrasound (well, even then I didn't relax!)
And I am over 13 weeks and still don't feel pregnant! Did have some queasy belly stuff, and my boobs are sore, but other than that, nothing! No weight gain, energy fine, all that. My doc says I should be happy I feel so good!
Good luck and try to stay positive (Easier said than done I know!!)

Hi I have two children and have also had 7 m/cs. I had a scan today and everything seems fine so far at 10 weeks.
This time I have taken aspirin and have stopped taking energy drinks and I have cut out coke and caffeinated tea. I have been unable to cut out chocolate lol. I hope this helps.

Thank you all for the advice! I would never give up chocolate! I too gave up coffee, tea, diet pop, and junk food. I now am REALLY hungry, with occasional stomach upset. Nothing lasting or looking for the porcelain throne. Thank God! I have been toying with the idea about getting an early scan. Not sure how to do that. I'm sorry that some of us on here have lost pregnancies. However it gives us a chance to be strong and help others that may go through the same hardship. I am just so glad it is not a tubal pregnancy as I had my ovary and tube removed April 4 of this year. That I would not have been able to handle! Good luck to all of you lovely ladies on here! God bless!
