Come on ladies let's list hobbies we can do or try to take our minds off ttc

Doesn't matter if there free or expensive we all need hobbie ideas let's help each other out :) it will happen if were not thinking of it :)

Horse riding is a hobby I would love if I could afford it lol
Who's next? Xx

Hobbies haven't helped me get pregnant but they do help me not obsess over my charts and they make the waiting more bearable. Scuba diving is my favorite of my hobbies. You don't have to live near an ocean to dive; lakes and quarries are fun too! And every time I get a BFN I think, well at least I can dive another month! I will have to stop diving for 9 months if that ever happens.
I also love gardening, yoga, biking, and fishing.
I have several family members who adore scrapbooking. They make homemade cards, decorations, and stuff. I also have another friend who loves to cross-stitch.

Whats scrapbooking?

Cleaning- Although that's hardly a hobby..but you can make it fun by turning on music and cleaning your house from top to bottom.

Reading- I like to drown myself in a good book.

Retail Therapy- I try to remember at least I can buy my usual slim size.

Cooking- I like to try a new recipe at least every night.

Scrapbooking is kind of like making a photo albumn with photos and paper, it's very crafty. Here's some examples: https://www.scrapbook.com/gallery/

Frig - I wish I could get myself to enjoy cleaning. We're in the middle of renovations and I despise my house right now. It's like a bomb went off. You can't even tell when I have cleaned so for now I don't even bother except for the mandatories.

I have no hobbies. Wait - I think bewjewelled blitz is my hobby. :haha:

Does snow shoveling and stacking firewood count as hobbies...bahahahaha

anyway... gardening...i am planning my veggie garden right now...but the snow doesn't start melting until april..haha

I'm digging up some old farmhouse window frames i have been collecting for years, and making photo frames out of them..and hopefully sell for some $$$$

I love reading BUT can finish a book in 3 hours so....that doesn't really help take my mind off anything...except for the 3 hrs..LOL
oh and BnB surfing.hehe

You could go sledding or have a snowball fight with YOH. :haha:

If we lived near an outdoor ice rink, I would be ice skating everyday and all day long.

Does shopping count?

We got an Xbox with Kinect over the holidays so I've been having fun with the game Dance Central 2. It's a fantastic workout too!

I like the scrap booking idea.

Netflix tv marathons :haha:

Though I'm getting back into reading, I have 2 different series going on at the moment: "Hunger Games" and "The Infernal Devices" by Cassandra Claire <-- if you want a good romance-y/action/adventure/fantasy book I highly recommend! Though start with the "Mortal Instruments" part (it's 3 books) but they are a young adult so some of it is kinda cheesy :haha:

Finding a new job! It's starting to become an obsession here pretty fast, it all depends on if my boss is getting transferred out or not.

Where in Ontario are you? I'm in London and we've hardly any snow yet this year. It's been so nice! I swear my tulips were going to start popping up the other day. I hate winter and don't think I could ever get into a winter hobby.

my word there is alot of hobbies going on here, scrap booking sounds good if only i had a printer to print my photos out :) lol maybe after my holiday ill invest in a good one. i hate shopping lol to all the girl that said shopping that is my worse possible hobbie lol but there are some great ideas an hope it helps other ladies try an keep there minds off ttc :)

Got one more..I coupon. Not like those crazies you see on the television. Although I have scored some extreme savings such as a box of tampons for 2 cents, razor refill cartridges for $2, handsoap for free, and big packs of toilet paper for under $5. It's pretty time consuming too.

I've got one or two! Knitting keeps me distracted! I only knit teddys and scarfs at the min, but think I'm going to try out a bigger project and also maybe try my hand at crochet! Keep me distracted for a little while :) I also like sewing and making salt dough dolls! And another one I like is reorganizing the furniture and changing the wall colours! but hubby goes mad cause I keep moving his seat :haha:

I have done crochet and it is fun because you're creating something while you hobby. I have made many hats, scarves, etc for myself and as gifts. A big project like a blanket takes a really long time; I did a full size simple blanket once that took me 2 months and still turned out crooked! Once you learn how it doesn't really engage your brain so its a good hobby to do while watching TV or listening to music.

I agree, I love to crochet. I was just crocheting 10 min ago before I got on here. Once you learn it, it can get redundant but if you change patterns for the next project, then it takes some more thinking.

Oh i'll sneak in on this conversation, i really want to learn to crochet, right now i do a lot of sewing. I spend a lot of time on pinterest (if your looking for some good easy craft ideas, recipes, or just about anything you should check it out!) I tell my hubby who is always on twitter, that pinterest is twitter for creative women!

It's -37 (-48 with the windchill) so other then work i'm not leaving the house!

Backyard Birdwatching for me :) ... and job hunting ... looking for a job who's benefits covers infertility drugs. LOL ... but I'm serious.

I just heard about pinterest today! Looks a real time waster...just up my alley. :haha:

My next project is learning to sew again. I have half decent in junior high....getting near 20 years ago. I tried knitting but swear I was getting carpal tunnel syndrome.
