I'm not pregnant again nor trying for a long time yet but I was induced with my first at 40+5 due to her being a clomid pregnancy it was a horrible and painful labour that ended in forceps after 17 hour active labour. I was told in a review meeting that my daughter had mild shoulder dysplasia and have told me to have a c section or induction at 38 weeks with my future second in case they are bigger first was 8oz 9

I hate hospitals and want to have my second at home could I still do this? Anyone else had a home birth with a child with shoulder dysphasia?

Thank you

I'm sorry I don't have any answers, but I am wondering why being a clomid baby would have anything to do with needing to be induced?
Mine is from clomid too <3 but I have never heard of it affecting when labour begins....?

It was just the way my specialist worked everyone who had fertile treatment was induced by 41weeks due to bigger babies, I still don't believe it as I was going into labour on my own but they still pushed for induction :(

Meee!

My 1st was a pitocin induction/shoulder dystocia (collarbone break).

My 2nd was a natural (42 weeks) home birth - now, I was transferred after 10 hours back labour and 1 hour pushing because extended pushing (1+ hour) is a sign dystocia will re-occur, so, this is something to be aware of. But it was amazing and I have no regrets.

My 2nd had dystocia (8lb 6oz) at the hospital but natural labour and no medication made it easy to McRoberts & get him out. I will try and find my birth story for you. I have no regrets. I admit I was scared even as the labour started (...what am I thinking???) but it was the best decision I ever made.

I've no experience with the broken colar bone (but I did think of you aliss :) ), but my first labour want induced but accelerated using the drip, ended in epidural and forceps, everything I didn't want happened!
Second I was mid homebirth, due to get in pool when waters went and meconium present. They transferred me and she was born weighing 15 mins getting there. Naturally!! No drugs (apart from g&a in ambulance, not on my back, and I pushed her out by myself. Just so happened I wasn't still at home. But if there wasn't any mec in waters or if I had refused (which I should of trusted my instincts and done so!) then I'd of got my hb! So totally do able and re the shoulder aliss is proff second time will be fine!
Also re induction for clomid, I've never heard of that before and I'd be inclined to refuse.

Thanks ladies :) I will def push for a home birth next time
