Im 19weeks pregnant with my 4th little man and have decided im set on having a homebirth, my 1st was a long difficult labour spent in a hospital bed hooked up to loads of machines and drips then delivered with forscepts followed by tons of stitches. The other two delivered quickly and calmly in community midwife unit which was amazing, third only took 2hours!
So since then I have moved there are no local community units, hospital is 50mins away and does not have the best reviews, so a homebirth seems perfect. However my midwife is telling me they may be suspending the homebirth service in my area due to staff shortages and I would have to go into hospital. This is already stressing me out, surely if there that short staffed I wouldnt get proper care in hospital? Im scared il get near my due date or go into labour and be told no one will be available to come out to me!
Sorry for the long post any advice would be appriciated.
