hoover dislike!!

Anyone else's baby burst out crying as soon as the hoover comes on, or the hair dryer?? Harry gets very upset by them. I wouldnt mind but i have used them around him since he was born and the past couple of weeks he gets really distressed.... still its an excuse not to hoover!

Aaron is scared of the hoover. He wasn't at first, it's only the last few months. He's starting to get a bit better though.

My DS (16 months) was petrified of the hoover from about 6 months to 14 months NOW he cant get enough of it and wants to push it around all the time. Funny as we have a henry hoover and it has a lovely smiley face so cant work out what he didnt like!!!

Aww bless him. My boy seems to be the total opisit of everyone elses, as soon as the hoover or hair dryer comes on he stares at where the noise is coming from and smiles away at it!! It even stops him crying if he is upset!!! Maybe that will change when hes abit bigger and he will be scared.. but i hope not!

when courtney was really colicy the noise of the hoover actually shut her up

last night I put a bubble machine in her bath which made a noise she didnt like it at all

Ellie loves it!! The hoover she stares at and the hair dryer sends her to sleep. I hope it doesnt change! Benn used to hate both until he was about 2 lol.

My 1 year old hates the hoover and hair dryer. She never used to, she loved them once! The hoover is a new one and much louder than the old so we think thats a problem, she shakes she's so scared of it. As for the hair dryer, its still the same so dont know why she started with that one.

After a baby is 6 months they start to recognise your attention, so if you come out with a big looking machine that makes a huge noise and you leave bub in his or her rocker how is that going to look? Pick them up while you vaccum (i know, its hard lol) and show them what your doing from up at your height, they'll soon understand what your doing..same with the hair dryer show them what it does, dry there hair..its all about what looks scary from there point of view...
You just have to show them its all ok...
