horrible time sleeping!

The past two months I have had the worst time sleeping. I try & try & try and end up just spending hours staring at the back of my eyelids, I have tried pulling an all nighter to get back on track but no success. Im 20, healthy & active with no odd habits, dont really want to resort to seeing a doctor for sleep aides, any advice?
 
Try a self hypnosis sleep cd, or try a hot cup of ovaltine, is there any reason why you may not be getting to sleep? I have tinnitus so at the moment I am trying self hynosis, cant drink the ovaltine anymore as I am intolerant to dairy products. You can also try listening to meditations, I would advise you against the sleeping tablets from doctors as I dont agree with them and believe they may actually make your sleeping patterns worse. Try not to have caffeine either. Hope some of this helps.
