Well last month was our 1st round of clomid (just started round 2 @ 50mg). Apart from the hot flush side effects which I'd sort of being expecting, my cycle was about 6 days longer than normal, and when AF came it was the worst pain seriously that I have ever experienced. I was literally doubled over in pain and throwing up the entire day. I have never known agony like it.

Anyway ... was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this - and should I anticipate it this month (assuming dont' get BFP) and drug myself right up?
:winkwink:

Gosh, thats sounds awful hun.
I'm afraid I don't have any experience of this yet, as I'm on the first round myself (2ww) but I wanted to stop by and offer some

I can understand your pain because I have experienced the same pain on Clomid. I am on my 4th round of Clomid and each cycle has been hard when AF comes, usually *tmi* heavy, crampy, large clots and stabbing pain. Last AF was almost unbearable. I even booked in for a scan to see what was going on. On cycle day 3 the ultrasound technician found 3 cysts in my right ovary and one on my left and I had fluid in the cul de sac of my uterus showing that I had ruptured a cyst. Clomid can cause cysts to appear. All my cysts that remained were very tiny and since about CD5 I have had no pain at all. I hope I get my BFP this cycle because next month I am taking a break from Clomid!:dohh:

Hope it eases for you soon hun. I would definitely let the doc know how you are feeling. Good luck:thumbup:

Hi. I haven't suffered as much as some of you but I can say that both times (1 cycle on 50mg and 1 on 100mg) I have had 1 day of nasty cramps, which I don't usually have. AF came yesterday and I was awake from 5am with front and back cramps. I resorted to pain killers and a hot water bottle in the evening! I am heavier than usual too. Lets hope each and every one of us gets our BFP's after all this... X

Thanks for the heads up ladies, it's kind of good getting the info from the experts, ie. the ones that actually experience it, than the vague info from hospitals, doctors, nurses and leaflets.

Can't say I'm looking forward to AF - here's hoping to a miracle on cycle 1 :)

Good luck vibes to you all :) x

I get a heavy AF as well from Clomid and its pretty gross, the only thing you can do is take pain meds and wait it out. It's horrible, I've also had to stop using tampons altogether and use pads. Good luck and if you don't get your BFP this cycle hopefully its an easier AF.
