Hey hun hope you got things sorted but thought I'd offer some help anyway.

There is a grant you can get (I can't remember what its called though sorry!) But its really hard to get - I'm a single parent and they wouldn't grant it me. All they said I was entitled to was a crisis loan or social loan whatever they're called of which didn't even cover a cooker. Never mind about carpets, bed, etc. And in the end I was lucky I had family to help and didn't use it.

I was put into contact with people called Home Start and Children First who are there to help and support single mums and young mums, I'm not sure if they're just for my local sort of area or whether they're a nation wide thing but its worth finding out if they have anything like that in your area. They help fill in forms and they have contacts where they can help furnish your house for less and sometimes get you things for free. It was my health visitor who referred me as I don't go out the house and I was given someone who would try and organise days out and things. She was lovely.x

Contact the Job Centre. They do all kinds of grants. I'm sorry he did this hun :nope: selfish *******

Agree about speaking to job centre. I hope they can help :hugs: You're so strong for getting away from him :hugs: xx
