How are you feeling a week on after section ?

I've taken off the dressing, got a bit of swelling in my feet still and very sore and achey - slight sharp pains in stiches

My whole body aches and I can only sleep on my back, but gettin there

I hope you feel better soon. It's a healing process. I would feel fine and then occasionally I'd get the sharp twinges. By six weeks I felt like a normal person again. Congrats on your baby!

Ooh I can't wait to feel normal again ! Not being able to be comfortable because of bump and now because of the section - my 3 1/2 year old can't understand why I can't pick her up/ play on the floor

Im back home now, they scanned me again to check baby was breech and it has turned so they sent me hime to wait for labour to start!

Im actually relieved that i didnt have to have the section but now im worried that it will turn again. Hopefully it wont keep us waiting too long.

We are good thankyou , I'm a bit worried about looking after 2 kids on Saturday as h is working - will be the first whole day with a stroppy 3 1/2 year old and a newborn eep

Yes I need to change my ticker! I was supposed to be having a section because he was breach

I won't lie I was scared but it was pain free and quick it's just the after recovery that's hard as I'm such an independant person and h is doing everything !

I'm 2 weeks on now and feel loads better. Can cough without holding my belly and sleep on my side. My toddler can climb up onto my lap for a cuddle without me worrying and I've picked her up twice without thinking and it was ok. I'm walking easier and faster too. Things are much improved a week further on. Keep going

I managed to sleep on my side a bit last night felt so good to curl uk a little bit jan flat on my back ! Though have overdone it today in the house - feel guilty that h is doing so much - oops , dd1 is at nursery tommorow so will be able to rest

Hope you are doing much better now mrsdoddy!! My section got cancelled cos baby turned but my contractions started the next morning and i had a baby girl yesterday morning!

Not doing too bad, if I forget the painkillers I really know about it !!! Home with toddler and newborn tonight as hubby is going to the pub to wet the babies head- eep night feeds all by myself I'm going to be so tired in the morning , watching catch up coronation street then will have a shower and wash my hair then early to bed !

How often are your lo's feeding - ds is bottle fed and feeding every two hours about 1/2oz and sleeping in between not really any awake time in between , he's having wet and dirty nappies and seems happy and hydrated so I guess that it's ok right ?

I started off feeding lo myself and mixing with bottle but today she has been mainly fed on the bottle. Se is waking every 2-3hrs for it and she has been taking about 1-1.5oz and then sleeping again straight after it. She has only had wet nappies today (so far).
I know with dd1 she was a terrible feeder at the start, would only take 0.5oz every 4hrs or so and could go days without a dirty nappies! They saynas long as they having wet nappies they are ok!

Thanks that's simular to us and reassuring that ds is prob doing ok then, he's finally settled after awake time from 7-10.30 hope he sleeps for a few hours at least now !

I had my section on the 28th. Im still a little sore and i have been taking care of my 4 yr old and 2 yr old also since dh had to go back to work on wednesday so i totally know how u feel. I had staples instead of stitches this time so i just got those out yesterday. They put something called surgitape on it since i may have did too much the first night i was home i jumped out of bed because ds2 was choking on mucus.

Took me about 4 weeks to fully recover from the C with my tall son. I was hoping for a "normal" pregnancy, but he was just too "long". I was impatient to get going with normal routines, so my patience was often hanging by a couple of threads. Ah well, that's all part of the joys, I guess...

Well I'm feeling better but still in a bit of oain and have an infection , can walk a little way now and get on the floor with the kids for a short while, finding not being able to drive really haft and am feeling poo looking at the same foûr walls- as is eldest child , it's really effected her and I feel awful for it she's had friends over and h gas done things with her and gone to parties so shes not gone without but her behaviour has got so bad- I'm hoping things will change when I can drive again and we can get out more
