How are you planning to tell DH when you get your BFP?

Thought we could pass some time while waiting for our BFP by brainstorming ideas on how to tell our other halfs. In thinking I want to maybe do something hockey related for my DH...maybe a little jersey of his favourite team baby sized. Definitely need to find a way to hide a video camera.

Ima go the cliche route. Cook a nice dinner of spaghetti Texas toast chicken and a salad and during dinner holding the Preggo container to my stomach.

I like to think I could come up with something cute and clever, maybe a present bag with a blue and a pink dummy in with a note "which do you think we'll need?" or "oh my god come look what the cat threw up on *place test somewhere*" or make a cake....

Reality is I'll probably tumble out the bathroom with my underwear still round my ankles sobbing with snot bubbles coming out my nose and being totally incoherent

I'm not TTC till June, but I've though about this already. We've actually talked about if I would test when he's not there or do it with him. I think he wants me to suprise him which would be fun and a nice memory and story to tell, but at the same time I feel like when I see that positive test come up that I'll want him to be with me in that moment. I've watched YouTube videos of women doing "live pregnancy tests" (yes I'm a dork I know) and when it comes up positive and I see them being excited, but trying to be quiet and know they have to keep it a secret it makes me sad. Yeah I'm weird, I don't know. Lol

I'd like to think I'd do something super creative...but the only thing I can think of right now is to buy him a "future daddy" shirt or something......he's a major tee shirt and jeans guy and I randomly always buy him shirts....I would want to do something quietly and see how long it takes him to figure out!

If we get our next bfp during baseball season I'm going to take him to a rangers game and have an announcement put on the scoreboard. This last time I just called him at work Cuz I was so excited lol. But I still have a pile of positive pregnancy tests laying in the bathroom he probably wouldn't notice an extra one.

That's a good one. If I get my BFP next cycle I'll have to bust out my Angel's onesie I made! I was making onesie's for my friends who are expecting (just drawing with fabric markers on white onsies) and I really liked one that I made for our favorite team! So I kept it and made them 2 others!!

I'll totally bust that out to tell him!

Last time I told him while we were having a silly argument! Oops.

This time after a get my BFP and know I'd get a strong line I'm gunna buy a test while out shopping with him and take it with him when we get home, then tell him I'm too scared to look and get him to hold it and check. I wanna see his face when the second line pops up and hear what he says to me. Kinda sneaky I know but it will be priceless.

I'd love to surprise my other half, but I think she will be there with me when I test!

I would love to be "taking a picture" for some reason and say "say I'm pregnant!" Instead of like "say cheese" so I can then photograph her reaction. Maybe will film too. This is probably how we will announce to family...

Aww, I love reading everyone's ideas! So sweet!!!

My DH wants to be there with me so we can find out together, but we do plan on surprising our parents!

If we happen to get a BFP this cycle, we are hoping to surprise them on Mother's Day. We are all getting together for a barbecue, and we when they open their gifts we are either going to get them a gift or a card that says "Grandma".

If it doesn't happen this month, then we'll have to figure something else out!

I seen it on pinterest... but basically take a raw egg carefully drain the yolk out (by puncturing two holes in the egg and blow on one of the holes). Rinse the egg and let the egg dry out for a day so it won't (hopefully) be gross on the inside. and then slip a note in the hole that says something about having a baby! oh and I would paint the egg in cute colors (polkadots)

Hopefully, I'll be able to do this someday...
