How big is/was your preemie at 2?

I don't know what Sophie weighs but she is nearly 2.5 actual and is 35 inches tall. She's very slim though, and mostly in 12-18 clothes. She really needs 18-24 in trousers from some shops for the length but they are always too big at the waist! x

I'm with Katy, she put no weight on(well about 4oz) from 2-3 but maybe grew a little taller, so its 12-18m trousers as long as they are on the long side. Same size as her little sister

Abby Long Legs was 83cms on her second birthday and about 23lbs

My son just turned two (corrected) and he`s 75cm tall and weight 24.5 lbs. He`s very small for his age BUT we`re sloooowly catching up. He was born at 1% weight, was 3% when he was one and now he`s almost 7%. Tenth percentile line here we come!

Just browsing and so impressed with the size of some of your preemies! My 1st DD was only 2 weeks early and weighed 6lb 9oz and at 2 years old she was only about 86cm and 19lb, at 22 months I pottytrained her and needed to put 9-12 mth trousers on her as 12-18mth fell down without the nappy to hold them up! She is now 9, wears 6-8 years clothing but is a competitive gymnast and really healthy.

It is just amazing that some of your babies were less than 2lb at birth and have gained so well - surely a credit to you & NICU's.

50th centile weight and 9-25th height.
Started off at 2lbs11 oz not sure what length as that wasn't measured.
Short and heavy would describe him!

Oh, what a big boy! I've heard 31-32 is average for a 2 year old boy? Could be wrong though. Elias is 32 inches at 21 months, and seems no shorter than other 1 1/2 - 2 year olds.

Not to jump off topic, but how are your boys? I hope Jamie has a good birthday!

My LO is 14 mo, 25 inches and almost 16 lbs. she is still wearing 3 -6 mo. She was only 2 lb 8 oz at birth, so she's doing well. At least she's on the charts now

Not sure how tall he is now but the last time he was measured he was 82cm but that was ages ago, he currently weighs 26lb's. He's only just 15 months old so quite a bit away from 2 but I just wanted to jump in as he's bigger and taller than a lot of termies I know. He was born at 32 weeks and weighed 4lb 13oz, although he is developmentally behind the growing is always something he's excelled at.

sorry i was just browsing and am amazed like the pp about how well your preemies have grown! My son was born at term +6 weighing 5lb 14oz ... and at 2 years old he was 79cm (31.6 inches) and weighed in at 20lb 14oz .

Mine was 32 wks. She weighed 3lbs1oz at birth. At 1 year she was 18lbs, 2 years she was 25lbs, and at 3 years she is 33lbs

Argh I can't find his red book to check. At 3.5 he is 83cm and 19lb though. Iona is 16 months, 11lb and is around 63cm.
