We have followed baby led leaning since the start (when Isabella was six months) and she is formula fed. Normally she has (roughly)
Cereal and fruit for breakfast at 8:30
Yogurt and 6oz formula at 10:15
Lunch (sandwich/ boiled eggs/ pasta....) at 12:30 plus 6oz bottle
6oz formula at 4
Evening meal (risotto/meat and veg/toast and cheese plus a yogurt) at 6.
Bedtime 6oz bottle at 8pm
Dream feed of 6oz at 11pm.
Sometimes she will have another 6oz during the day if she hasn't eaten much. She's good at taking water with her meals but I'm worried she's on too much milk.
I tried reducing the amount in each bottle but she just squealed after draining the bottle. I tried offering water instead of milk at her usual times but it just meant she either woke in the night for milk or cluster fed in the evening to catch up.
She's almost 11 months and I see other babies her age only taking 2-3 bottles a day. Am I going to struggle to wean her on to cows milk?? Someone advise me please xxx
