When I'm out, I did take the small SMA gold cartons out with empty bottles, but when trying to feed LO she really didn't like it room temp, and was fussing the whole time, so next option was warming the milk in a small jug with boiled water kept in a flask, but this is taking all the room up in my changing bag and is very inconvieniant, especially tonight as I was pouring boiled water in the jug I spilt it all over my leg and burnt myself really bad! (we were in the car - so awkward!!)

Our car doesn't have a cigarette lighter in so bottle warmer for the car is not an option which is very annoying!!

Does anyone have any other ideas how to warm up the feed? What about if I warm it up before I go out and then put it in my avent thermal bag????? I'm stuck as sometimes out for more than an hour and my little girl will not have it room temp or cold, she wants it nice and warm!

Ideas please??!!!! :coffee:

Hey there.

i used to have this prob but luckily Ryan will take room temp in the day now.

I used to make up bottles before i went out how many i would need..usually atleast three and make them up with boiled water then put them in the changing bag with the termal insulator which kept them warm and they would cool slowly so when he needed a feed they were never cold just right.

If not stop in a restuaraunt or cafe and ask them to heat it up.

so places such as my Debenhams have bottle warmers and mothercare also do!

hope u find something that works :D x

I plan on bottle feeding and this was going to be my exact question to but thanx for the reply thats perfect and i have a thermal holder for my bottles to so thats great

Coffee shops etc will help you. It varies, some will give you a cup of hot water and some will just take the bottle and warm it in hot water for you.

I just put very hot water in the bottle and put it in the thermal bag - I add the powder just before the feed.

i did this too, as its not advised to make up a bottle and leave it for over an hour :D xx

i make it up warm i never add the powder before hand! only when he is ready for it x

I always went to somewhere i could warm it up, asda, mothercare etc etc.

I had a thermal bag, but didnt like it, didnt really work.
