Scott normallly wakes once now in the night maybe twice and I feed him in a chair in the bedroom, however I keep falling asleep when feeding! like this morning he woke at 3:30am and I must have fallen alseep cos my oh woke me and 7am!so I then got back into bed lol! Its just Im not sleeping tidy in the chair plus im worried I could drop Scott- which is unlikey due to the shape of the chair.......but I still worry, I put the light on and the radio too!

I used to nibble biscuits or put head phones on as I struggled to keep my eyes open all the time xx

I feed lying down, and more often than not I fall asleep, as does he. I used to really struggle to stay awake when I had to pump and bottle feed in the night, I used to perch on the edge of the sofa so I wasn't too comfy!

I know it sounds cruel but I used to get o/h to talk to me lol (that was only for the first 3 weeks mind!)

I do the 5am ish feed lying down in bed cos I know I fall asleep! I does inevitably mean that we end up co-sleeping (which she seems to love) which I really didn't set out to do!

i wanted to co_sleep but im worried about rolling over on to him, ive got one of those breathing monitors cos im such a worry pot, glad im not alone tho not staying awake

I'm having difficulty too, so much so I still haven't managed to ditch the 5am bottle, think tonight will be the night, not got to be anywhere until tomorrow afternoon so won't need to rush if I'm exhausted tomorrow morning!

I feed lying down at night. H goes to bed in her crib and I just get her in bed when she wakes for her feed. And then we both go back to sleep peacefully! I love co-sleeping but had always thought it was awful and I was terrified of it until I had no choice and now I love it!

It's actually MUCH more dangerous to feed in a chair than in bed. Most cases of mums falling asleep feeding and hurting babies are from it happening on the sofa or a chair - beds are much safer.

I fed in bed and make a point of going back to sleep! Pointion then between you and the wall (make sure there's no gap) and sleep on your side. Mum's are VERY aware of their LOs in bed with them.

Because I hadn't planned to do it I'm so surprised at how conscious I am of her in the bed, I have to admit it is lovely and she does get a really good kip!

I feed her in bed at night and try as hard as I can to go back to sleep with her! :D Means that she falls asleep too and when she wakes she seems to have a quick snack and drift off again - I find it sometimes buys me an extra couple of hours sleep...

I kinda snooooze at night  its very bad and Tabs now wakes me up cos she wants to go to back in her cot ha ha ha

Sorry hun im going to be know help, as you know im another co-sleeper and i often fall asleep whilst feeding.
I know and understand your worried about co-sleeping and rolling on Scot but if you cant find a way of staying awake whilst feeding then it may be safer to co-sleep then sleep in the chair?

I don't try to stay awake when I feed him lol I feed him laying down and when hes finished he just gets off and goes to sleep himself, if he has wind he winges and it wakes me up so I know to wind him

I do most of my Internet stuff on my iPhone mostly because our computer is in our basement and it's a pain in the arse (haha I'm pickin up your English slang!) so I do stuff online while I'm feeding him. Facebook, myspace and on here which is good cause in the middle of the night it's morning over there and it's starting to get active!
But I still do fall asleep. And as soon as he makes any kind of twitch I'm wide awake!

I don't use it at night, but during the day when I'm nursing (which is often every 90 minutes) I use my netbook. I bought it specifically for this purpose, its little at sits on the armrest and I use it one handed. Most of my posts on here are written while feeding!

I have spent the last two nights playing solitare on my mobile.
I get out of bed and sit in a rocking chair, I find drinking helps too but am waiting for this next growth spurt we may end up in bed again. I used to do the last night feed (4-5am) in bed, but was worried about squashing him too.
