How far in advance can you book a wedding abroad ?

I've started to look into booking our wedding for about 2 years time depending on location & weather. My friend told me that it can't be booked more than a year in advance ?!

I would prefer to get everything booked and then start paying it off. I also have family that are going to have to start saving now and im worried if it isn't booked and money going directly to tour operator it is just going to get spent on other things and then people let us down.

oooo goodness im not sure!!! I know you can't give notice to your local register office untill a year before (you have to do this if your not having a religious ceremony). But actually booking the ceremony I suppose you can make provisions with companies a lot longer before!!!! good luck!!!

I booked our wedding with Disney exactly a year before I dont think it can be done any earlier but I might be wrong.
