hi

i was jus wondering how lng after a c-section can u gt in a normal bath i been told 2 only shower but i love hot long soapy baths...

and when can i start umm wats the word ... love making agen?

im a bit shy 2 ask midwife or family

i had baths straight away they said to me it was fine but in hospital i had showers but at home i dont have a shower at home anyway ive bathed everyday from day 3 and had no probs, also im not sure about sex but the first time i had it was at 7 weeks as thats when i started to feel fully recoverd xxx

Gosh, it's been over 5 years since my last C-section but I am quite certain that I didn't bath for a few weeks after. It was tough enough getting in and out of the bathtub due to the pain but I can see another point in that soapy water, etc. can possibly cause infection around the scar area.

As for sex, it wasn't until my bleeding had stopped and that was around 6-7 weeks.

I havnt had a bath as i havent got time for one lol , but im sure it would be fine aslong as you havnt got an infection in your scar

As for sex im pretty sure as soon as bleeding stops you can start again
