How long after....

How long after a miscarriage did you or know someone that had one start TTC again? I started having my miscarriage December 18 th of last year at 5 weeks pregnant. I am still going through my miscarriage now because it took a long time for my uterus to start to thin out and my numbers to drop(last time I knew they dropped to 1600 and he is rechecking me the 20th this month). I know its different for everyone. I want to give time for my body to heal and for me to heal emotionally.

I'm sorry for your loss

My first mc at 5 weeks was over with very quickly. I bled heavily for 2 days over the weekend and then it settled down. By the following Wednesday when I was finally seen at the hospital I was already testing negative. We initially wanted to wait for AF before trying again but it felt wrong to be trying to prevent pregnancy when it was what we really wanted so we decided to let nature take it's course and I ovulated exactly 2 weeks later and we were lucky enough to get pregnant right away.

With my second miscarriage I needed a d&c at 10 weeks and this time we did wait for AF before TTC again, and again I was lucky to fall pregnant that month.

My third miscarriage was more complicated as it turned out to be a molar pregnancy, and we had other things going on too, with my health and moving house etc so we decided to give ourselves some time...and two and a half years later I think we may finally be ready?!

Everyone (and every mc) is different, you just have to do what feels right for you
