Just curious...It has only been a week and I still look pregnant...arrgh

A week!!! Don't be so hard on yourself! Your tummy will shrink down. You have just spent nine months growing a little person you will soon be back to your old self! I still have a little to go but thats just general weight that i want to lose. Forget about your tummy and focus on what an amazing job you have done :)

Definitely agree with the above!

Also personally, my belly has never been the same since anyway! I'm the same weight as pre pregnancy but my body is a completely different shape.

I need to focus on exercising this area but in all honesty, I have no energy or time!

I still had a big belly a week after..still do :( I def have a jelly belly now & still have 7kg to lose, but taking my time with it.

Seriously, unless you have child minders, night nurses, a nutritionist & a personal trainer it is going to take time unfortunately, I wish I had all those, but then I wouldn't get to spend any time with my little man!

Did everything go ok with your section in the end?

My c section is still kind of hard to talk about as it was only a week and a half ago. I am still recovering and it has not been easy. The surgery itself went pretty well, a bit scary but the staff were very soothing and helpful. Once I am fully recovered I want to share my story...hopefully my story can help other women out.

I am not meaning to sound cocky, but when I left the hospital, I did not have a belly. I think it was just a matter of luck for me. I think it might be partially because I was only 37 weeks when I had him.

You are lucky, I still can't see down below. It seems to be shrinking slowly but surely.

I think it takes 6 weeks for the uterus to grow back to normal size and for most women it takes a while and some exercising to get back into proper shape!

Totally agree with this! You will get your body back but in most cases it takes time. You will also get used to the changes. I put on 3 stone (have lost 2st 4lbs so far) when I was pregnant, but with a little attention to diet and regular exercise I'm getting there - albeit 18months later! You will get there too, but don't be so hard on yourself. Give yourself some time to adjust to your new baby and body, you'll feel better soon honestly.

Take care!

i went back to my pre pregnancy weight quickly but i am left with a bit of a "kangaroo pouch" where my scar is. My stomach is nothing like it was before i was pregnant, its changed forever i think! my belly button is also a bit of a mess and i now have an outie where i used have one that was in (if that makes sense)

Mine was flat the next day i was so shocked so were the women on the ward. I was lucky!

I feel like this too. Can't talk to any of my friends...way to emotional and upset still.

It is actually kind of crazy how emotional I am about my c section. Mine was elective and I'm still going through changes about it. I feel like a bird who has had it's wing clipped...if that makes any sense at all.

I had a c-section 7 weeks ago and still look four/five months pregnant. Some of it is just extra weight as I still have about 20 lbs to lose, but a lot of it is swelling. The bottom of it still tender to the touch. My doctor said I could even expect 3 months for the swelling to go down fully

Six months out and it's still not flat--I've a jelly belly agh

Took about 3 months after first baby.....6 months after second. Not the c/s fault though just pregnancy

It takes a while after for your belly to go down, but for me personally I swear I still look pregnant :(

I totally get it. I feel maimed. Don't want to sound dramatic but it's a difficult thing. Especially since mine wasn't planned.
