I'm only around 12 weeks and i know its going to take me a while untill i actually realise im having a baby lol, at the moment i can't see it happening at all. Which does kinda worry me, but i know its normal. My first scans on tuesday, so hopefully it will kick in then lol. How long did it take untill it felt real with you? :)

It still doesn't! A lot of girls say it doesn't feel real until bubs is in your arms xxx

It probaly really didn't kick in for me until I found out what the sex was, then the shopping started and getting things ready for him. So, you start to imagine your baby in the bits you bought em and everything. But, even some days I wake up and don't feel pregnant at all, even though there's a big ole belly there. :haha: Sometimes you just forget!

xx

I'm hoping it will start feeling a bit more really once if seen bubs!

It still doesn't feel real for me. I feel her move constantly and i've seen loads of scans and shes perfect and healthy. Even buying all her stuff, her nursery is almost complete and we have everything we need for her and still i can't believe it lol.

I don't think i will until i have her home.

Uh yeah, now that I'm a month from the due date I'm in "Oh shit, I'm having a baby!" mode, haha.

It's been hitting me in varying strengths through the pregnancy.

I've got 3 weeks to go and it still doesn't seem real i don't know what i'm going to be like once i go into labour haha

I felt a lot more real once I had my 20 week scan and she actually looked a BABY, not a ball of cells. And I think it started feeling real once I had a lot of movement from her too. But now I'm 32 weeks and even though I've bought her everything she needs and my whole life revolves around baby stuff, it still doesn't feel totally real. I don't think it'll really hit me until I'm in labor!

It doesn't seem real to me. I just honestly can't believe it! x

I am 22 days or less in meeting my LO and it still hasn't fully hit me. I still think I'm in denial. Every once in a while I'll just shout out to OH, "HOLY SHIT. We're having a BABY in so-and-so days!!!" It's just surreal. I'll probably deliver and be holding her and be like, "This is mine?! You were in me for 9 months???" :haha:

things like scans, hearing the heartbeat, feeling kicks for the first time & feeling LO have hiccups were big steps towards making it feel real, but it wasn't until he was put on my chest after i'd given birth to him that it really felt real :cloud9:

It won't hit you until you see your LO for the first time. You can say you're ready to be a mom, you can say you feel like your a mom - but it won't actually feel real until you see them. I was induced and all day I was like "oh my gosh I can't believe i'm going to have a baby today!" and I thought it had hit me. Then 8 hours later I was going in to have a c-section and while I was getting prepped for my section, they said "you're going to see your baby in 5 minutes" and I'm not joking, I was absolutely petrified and I started freaking out because I couldn't believe I was so close to meeting him. Then I heard him cry and of course I cried - they brought him around and THEN it finally hit me, I was a mom! :flower:

sometimes it feels real, sometimes it doesn't. but i don't think it will truly feel real until i experience a strong kick :)

it still doesnt feel real to me hun :) just like some crazy dream! i was folding away all her clothes the other day and it kinda washed over me that in a few weeks there will a baby in these clothes and it still felt completely odd! i quite like wandering around in a dream world tho, :haha: it means i'm not worrying about anything :D
