How long did you bleed after your c-section?

As the title suggests, how long did you bleed PP after your c-section?

I am 2 weeks post surgery, I am still bleeding though only lightly but it is still quite red.

I had an emergency c-section after my daughter got stuck in the birth canal due to her presentation.

About 3 weeks I think. Apparently lots of rest helps the bleeding stop but that's easier said than done!x

I bled for 5 weeks. First 2 quite heavy, next 3 quite light. Then after 4 days of no bleeding, it came back with a vengeance to the point I thought I was haemorrhaging. I then bled very heavily until 9 weeks pp.

Mine was also around the 3 week mark. I was told I'd have a period shortly after though, I am nearly 6 weeks pp and still haven't had anything....

About three and a half weeks for me, it got lighter and lighter then eventually stopped. I bled heavily for around 2.5 weeks.

Mine was also about 3 or so weeks with the last week being fairly light.

About 6 weeks for me this tme but I was active with my other kids. First time it was 3 weeks.

Did you start bleeding immediately after the section, or did it take a little while longer to start?

For me the bleeding was there from the beginning but it was lighter then a normal period and has stayed that way. I actually checked with my doctor as a was worried I wasn't bleeding enough.

I am 3.5 weeks pp and still spot a little but I'd say it's almost fully over.

With c section like 3 wks but even with vaginal i went for about 2-3 wks of bleeding- it only became heavier towards the end depending on how much rest i gave my body.

Are you breastfeeding. If so, my sister didn't have her period at all while she was breastfeeding it's also how she got pregnant with her 3rd baby and didn't realize it until the "flu" she thought she had didn't go away for a few weeks. She now has 2 daughters that are 13 months apart.

As for me, for the first 3 days it was a constant flow of blood and clotting and I leaked my pads a lot so I always had a pad on the bed as well that got changed hourly. Then for 2 weeks it was twice as heavy as what I would expect from a normal period.. then the last week was light with some spotting the last couple of days.
