How long did you stay in hospital??

Hi ladies,

Having spent the last 37 weeks preparing for a natural birth I have today found out my bubs is breech and unless he turns I'll be having a c-section!! So because I haven't really though too much about a c-section, I was just wondering how long on average you are in hospital for?!

My hospital kept me in 48 hours after the birth Then I went in 2 days after discharge to get my staples removed

They say 2-3 days is normal. I stayed around 70 hours last time (section was around 3am so wouldn't happen with an elective).
This time I'm hoping to be out ASAP - a friend was home the afternoon after one night's stay but this is less common and 48 hours is the norm I think.

I was discharged the 3rd day after my c section, staples were removed on the day I was discharged before leaving the hospital

Section 8pm tues, discharged 2pm thurs. but it was my second and I was doing really well afterwards

hi ive had 2 sections and id say the normal period is 48hrs

I was discharged the next evening!

Had my section Sunday at 7am, left hospital Tuesday at 4pm x

Two nights for me - one on HDU and one on normal ward

With ds1 I had him on Monday night and was discharged Thursday. I stayed a day longer because I was in a lot of pain and they could give me stronger painkillers in hospital than at home. With ds2 I had him on Tuesday night and was in til Friday and this time we were in longer as ds2 wasn't latching well to feed and his blood sugar had dropped very low.

I had LO on the 24th at midday and was out 26th at 7pm!

I had my c-section at 03:00 on Monday morning, and was supposed to be discarged on Thursday. But my hormones went all haywire and my milk didnt come in, so my gynae kept me a night longer...
