How long do tax credit changes take?

On Wednesday I changed my working hours from 22 hours to 37.5 hours and DS nursery fees have changed from £94pw to £146pw.

I rang HMRC to inform them of this on Wednesday morning. I also requested to change to weekly pay instead of 4-weekly.

Does anyone know how long it will take for my claim to change over?

The lady on the phone said not to ring back for at least 2 weeks but the sooner i start getting paid weekly off them the better now that DS nursery fees have gone up.

I think it's up to 6 weeks. But I've heard of people ringing constantly and getting it pushed through x

I had my first payment yesterday.. £20 a week less than what the calculator told me just got to wait for the tax notification to come through now x
