How long does a Tin of Formula last?

Ok, as title suggests was sat here wondering if any of you girls Bottle Feeding know how many feeds or days a standard size tin lasts?

Want to buy some closer to due date (yes i plan to bottle feed) and realised I don't have a clue how far one goes.

About a week, Tegan came home on a Tuesday so we opened the tin that day, and we now have to open a new tin most Tuesdays. Tegan was 8 weeks old when she came home so she was in a fairly established feeding pattern 6x5oz bottles, a newborn isn't like that though obviously.
With younger babies a tin will last longer but I would only buy one tin at the start because some babies don't get on with some formulas xxx

Lol I thought my baby would be like that but we have used Aptamil since she was born and she loves it

Yeah I agree only buy one tin just to make sure your baby will be ok with it. At the mo a tin lasts a week for me but when we first brought Ollie home it lasted over a week x

After the first week a tin would only last about 4 days.

I buy the concentrated formula now way easier.

About a week for us too, though Hannah's eating more now so sometimes it only lasts 5 days

Colton goes through a can in two days. BUT he eats 8oz/3 hours.
I think when he was littler a can lasted 5 days.. he ate about 4oz/3hours then.

depends how much your baby is going to be drinking, whether they like one youve given them
i only bought 1 tin, amber was on 3oz every 2 hours so it lasted a couple of days but then i had put her on hungier milk.
her milk now doesnt go as fast as only on 2 bottles a day

1-2 weeks as she got older more like 1 week although it could have lasted up to 2 at newborn I often opened a fresh tub anyway.

I wouldn't stock up on this tbh Maybe put the money ina seperate jar instead because you often hear people change their milks (like I did too).

Yeah a tin usually lasts 1 week, that is 5 bottles of 6oz feeds. SMA 900g tin...lucky for me my lil jen has always been ok with SMA even when they changed to the new formula...x
