How long does it take to pass a mc naturally?

I think I'm miscarry ing my pregnancy. It's like I'm having a period including with cramps. I started bleeding las night and its getting clottier and not easing up. For those who have has this and passed the pregnancy naturally rather than d&c, how long did it take for the bleeding to stop? I have had 2 mmcs before so never bed like this with m previous losses. In a way I'm glad to not need another d&c but its also unknown territory for me so I'm not sure what t expect. Thank you for reading.

I'm so sorry for your loss. When I lost my first little one last year I was 12weeks pregnant but the baby had stopped growing at 8 weeks. I had very slight spotting for three weeks. The MD didn't want to do a D&C because I had already started bleeding so I was instructed to take a med to induce contractions. Worst pain of my life both physical and emotional I would never go through that again. Once I took the medication I bled for about a week. The MD told me about a week is normal but that some women (myself included) may take a while to regulate after and spot off and on.

I'm so sorry. I had a MMC at 10 weeks and chose to let nature to take its course. I had 3 weeks of very heavy bleeding I felt the baby pass about 10 days into the bleeding but I didnt look at it.
Drink plenty and seek medical advice if you feel you are passing to much blood. I was told to expect a lot.

I had my MC on 4th March and it lasted for 5 days. I couldn't even get up from the bed for first two days when it started and later it was just like period. The bleeding depends on the length of the pregnancy. I was in 6th week when I miscarried...it wasn't that bad. Kanga, sorry for your loss and hope your bleeding stops soon.

truly nothing anybody can say that will take the pain away
with my m/c i was bleeding heavily with clots for the first 3 days,
and then bled for another 5 like a normal period x

I'm so sorry for your loss. I only have one experience with this. Mine sounds similar to yours. I knew I was going to miscarry (scans at 12 and 13 weeks showed the baby had already stopped growing), I just didn't know when. One morning when I woke up, I had a small amount of blood in my panties. I immediately started having cramps that increased in frequency and intensity. By 2 hours in, I was doubled over in pain with every wave and soaking through 3-4 pads an hour. It lasted a total of 11 hours and just stopped suddenly. It was extremely painful, both physically and emotionally, but once it was over, I felt better. Emotionally at least. I then had spotting for 2 weeks before having a D&C to finish it up.

How far along are you? Have you called the doctor? Again, I'm so sorry for your loss.

My first natural miscarriage took about four or five hours with the baby and the placenta/sac passing within half an hour. My waters had broken so it was all very sudden.

My last miscarriage was much slower. I knew the baby was dead from an u/s. I had been slightly spotting for a week. Two days after my scan I started to bleed. It was like a regular period. An hour or two later I passed a couple hand-sized clots and within two hours the bleeding slowed to spotting. The next day I started to bleed again and I passed a hand-sized clot or two once every hour for about 6 hours. It was a little scary but it ended on it's own.

My first miscarriage was very painful. The last didn't hurt at all. I just felt a little strange on the inside.

My bleeding started as a light flow around 3am Saturday morning (2009). It got super heavy as the day went on. I never really had cramps until the very end of it. It was super super heavy around 7:30pm. Then the intense pains Starrted. The doctor told me to expect it to take ~4 hours from first pain to passing. My baby passed less than an hour later, around 8:30pm. I had an U/S that day so I knew what was goings to follow. The tech said the baby stopped growing at 6+3. I MCed naturally at 8+3

My MMC took about 3 days from the start of heavier spotting to passing POC. My chemical was like a normal period. It just depends on the person and pregnancy.

Thank you everyone. It's at the end now, bleeding almost stopped and I passed a sac like clot on weds morning. Started bleeding Sunday evening so all I all not too bad xx
