How long does it take your LO to have their bottle? I use 3 different types of bottles - A generic shelf brand, Avent & Tommee Tippee. The Tommee Tippee bottle takes Amelia between 30mins - 45mins. Avent bottles takes about 20mins and the generic bottles about 10mins - 15mins. How long should it take?

I have about the same times with my baby girl as well for the avent and tommee nipples... Thats why I prefer the tommee tippie for her...

I cheat and use the generic bottles for early morning feeds so we get back to bed sooner. It doesn't upset her tummy and works for me!! Last night was up, fed, burped, changed and back in bed asleep in 30mins.

It takes my daughter less than 5 minutes to drink a bottle. I have no idea what is normal

Callum takes about 10 minutes to drink 4oz, the night drinks are always quicker as hes more hungry :winkwink: I'm not sure whats 'normal', all babies are different so if your LO seems ok I wouldn't worry to much xx

When he was tiny he'd take anything up to an hour. Then someone (?) told me that it should take approx 20-30 mins to finish a bottle, I used a faster teat and hey presto! I was using TT CTN bottles, and their level 1 teat is meant to be slower than most. Make sure the valve isn't stuck together too, as that'll make it almost impossible to get out!

I dunno, our teats drip milk, so she can drink it fairly quickly; within about 15 mins, but she only takes up to 5oz per feed. When she was a baby baby, it would take her about 30 mins to have 3 or 4oz. I use mainly MAM bottles, but also Dr Browns. I haven't used Avents since she was colicky, but those were the ones we used when she was newborn, so maybe that's also why she took longer. Not sure until I start using them again
