How long has everyone been trying?

As the title says, I was curious how long we had all been trying? I've also posted a link in the other TTC forums.

I have been trying since July 2008.

I don't mean to make anyone feel badly but for those ladies trying 0-6 months, relax. Infertility is normally defined as having actively tried for longer than 1 year. It can normally take up to one year to conceive so don't worry about the realm of LTTC yet, just enjoy trying!

We started ttc early Feb 2010, for the first 6 months I wasn't ovulating but didn't know Had a first round of clomid but after our loss 13 months ago nothing.

Just trying to focus on enjoying the now in life and counting my blessings but it is so blinking hard!

i answered 12-18 months. it's been 14 months of active trying this time, but i haven't actually used contraception for 5 years ! i have known issues also as it took 2 years ttc first time around due to both male and female factors

Yeah, I can't believe there are 0-12 months on LTTC. Unless you're over 35 and actively trying for 6 months...I can understand lurkers at 10 months, but anything less than that, no.

Trust me, you're not LTTC nor do you even want to be LTTC. Every woman in this section doesn't want to be here, we'd much rather be normal and conceive in the average year!!

Am in 12 month ttc however just had hubbies sa back and mortality and morphology low (26% and10%) so looks like we are going to have to go down referral to fertility clinic. When we picked up results the doctor said she would refer us but we have to go through the doctor who owns the practice. Meeting him on Monday so fx things get movin! I know plenty of you have been trying much longer than me and my hat goes off to you all. I am finding it hard as my best friend has had a baby already and we both started ttc around same time. My other friend is due next month and fell at first month of trying. Dometimes life seems so unfair!

We've been TTC since March 2010...we're almost at the 2 year mark...

my SIL got pregnant a few months after I started TTC and her daughter is 11 months old now LOL

I'd also like to say that while I understand that the ladies that voted 0-12 might feel impatient...but LTTTC is very painful and emotionally draining... those options make my heart ache

We've been Ttc since dec2009 - christmas eve will be out two year mark! A friend who started ttc two months after me, reminded me last weekend her lo is one soon!

Atm i amstruggling with it all and feel like giving up!

Ditto - that is how i ended up on the poll too - didnt even realise it was in LTTC until i read the messages underneath.
