So I'm having a c section done end of January and was wondering how long was you in hospital for afterwords?

:flower:

For both of my c-section I was in the hospital for 2 1/2 days, 3 the longest. It's based on your recovery some women are in their for 5 days..

Really hope I have a quick recovery.... I'm hoping 3 days as a maximum

I had one last Sunday and was out of hospital on the Wednesday.

It all depends on how you cope; I had a suspected infection and probably would have had to stay longer but they swapped my IV antibiotics for tablets that I was then sent home with and anti blood clotting injections for my stomach xx

I stayed 1 night in the hospital I had my section and could have gone home at that point but decided to spend 3 more nights in a local MLU to get help establishing breastfeeding. I probably would have managed at home with plenty of support with only one night in hospital.

I was in for five days, but only because LO developed jaundice and wasn't weeing. If he had been well we'd have been home in three days.

2 days I was ready to go home lol It was my choice for getting out that early usually its 3 days

I was in for 2 nights x Good luck! its not as bad as you think so try not too worry! x

4 days/3 nights. I needed the hospital bed, no way I would have coped at home sooner than that.

4 days for me. No complications at all, but they required it at my hospital. I was ready to get out of there by day 3.

With my first I was sent home the next day and I really struggled but it being my first I didn't know any better. I have had friends recently say to me that saw me straight after I was out of hospital that I looked awful and they were really worried about me and could believe they had sent me home so early.

I have just had my second and we stayed in a week but that was because baby needed antibiotics, but I would say after 3 nights I felt really well recovered and ready to go home. One thing I will say about being in hospital longer second time round is i recovered much quicker because you can't do anything in hospital but rest whereas if you are at home you would be tempted to do housework and push yourself more.

Just over 24 hrs! Went in Wed morning and went home Thu afternoon. I was medically fit for discharge and desperate to go home, but in hindsight wish I'd stayed in another night or so just to relax and get myself a bit fitter x

About 3 days. Went in to be induced 7/11, Csection happened the morning of 7/12, was discharged around 11 am on 7/15.

My Section was on a Friday night and I went home Monday morning. I was ready to go home Sunday, though! :flower:

Had her on Thursday afternoon and was at home by Saturday, even though they had told me to expect to be in for 5 days! So I was chuffed to be allowed home!

Only stayed one night but wished I had stayed one more. Having twins this time so imagine it will be three days min to establish BFing if they are in SCBU. Elective csection scheduled for 35 w + 6 days. Really hate to be away from my little girl that long as she is only 17 months and will only go to sleep with mummy. :( afraid I will be stressed being separated from her!!

I was in for 2 nights (night of the section and 1 night after). I was chomping at the bit to get home and start being a little family. I felt so much better when I got home as I could relax properly :)
