how long....

hey ladies

generally how long do you all spend nursing each day?? just wondering as i'm sure i'm letting daisy away with blue murder at the mo...

she will generally feed for around 10 hours a day (i'm estimating!) is this too much??? i feel like she's constantly feeding and when she's not feeding she either wants to feed or is comfort sucking..any help/advice/views would be really helpful girlies

Hey there, I recently kept track of how long Aloura was feeding and sleeping for each day, I did this for a week b/c I wanted to see if there was a pattern so I could get her on a schedule. I pretty much feed her on demand and found that ion average she eats for 7-8 hours a day. sometimes she goes for 3-4 hours between feeds (although, that is because she is asleep) but when she is awake she usually wants to eat every hour, or at most every 2 and a 1/2 hours.

Also, Babies go through growth spurts at 3 weeks, 6 weeks and 3 months (or there abouts) so she just may be hungry because she is growing

my little girl feeds about every 3 hours, and can spend anything from 20 mins to an hour feeding each time x
