Hi ladies how long do you TTC before it becomes LTTC? sorry i didn't know how to ask the question in a better way! x

Its up to you and how you feel, though I would say a year. That's when GP's will start investigations and referrals in UK. xx

I'm in my 14th month of TTC, and I consider myself LTTTC.

I would say it's a year as that usually when doctors are willing to start taking steps towards finding out why you haven't gotten pregnant. 1 year is the "normal" time frame to get pregnant (unless you're 35, they say to seek help after 6 months).

Agreed. 1 year for under 35. 6 months for over 35.

This is def what they say. Do you not think it should be the other way around though. That under 35 you should conceive within 6months and over should be the year?? That would make more sense but obviously its down to making sure over 35's get help asa there may be a problem.

Thanks ladies, were over a year now and Dh is having a SA in Nov he's 31. I'm 38 and have booked an appt with my GP for the day after. She doesn't seem to think that there's a problem and said that 12 to 18 is normal to get a BFP! If i could turn back the clock when TTC it would be to have never looked up trying to get pg over 35!

I only just joined ltttc as I didn't think I qualified but it seems I do. So welcome to the club tigerlilly! x
