For the past month or so my daughter has on average about 500ml (17oz) a day of formula. She also has two meals of solids a day (1 fruit, 1 veggie sometimes with meat) along with cutting up small pieces of fruit or chicken, for example. I'd say all in all around 100g of solids a day. She weighs about 9kg (20lb).

I guess I'm just a bit concerned because it doesn't seem like enough. I remember in past months she'd sometimes have 1L (34oz) in a day. That was before she had much of any solid food though. It just seems like other babies her age eat so much more. She doesn't act lethargic or anything and she's got chub where she should but has a trim figure overall.
Just wondering if this sounds like enough really.

Thanks!

Heya.

Babies need 17-21oz of breast milk or formula along side food until they turn 1. So the amount of milk your lo is getting is fine. Maybe try upping her solids to 3 meals a day plus finger foods? xx

Thanks, that makes me feel better. :) Three solid meals a day, wow! The question is, how to fit it all in? The days of formula only were so much easier! Do you have any finger food recommendations? She still only has two teeth so it's not so easy for her to chew just yet.

Maybe softer things like banana and other soft fruits, lightly steamed sticks of veg, toast fingers, small slices of fruit loaf. xx
