How many weeks were you when you started wearing maternity clothes?

I'm looking longingly online at maternity clothes! I've haven't got a bump yet but hopefully it won't take long to pop! I love having a pregnant belly! It's the one time you can choose clothes and not worry about how your belly is going to look!!


So when did you start?!

I started wearing mine about 13 weeks but I already had a lot of weight on my tummy x

Around 16 weeks ish I went over to maternity clothes

I bought some maternity leggings and a couple of other pairs of trousers around 14 weeks but I only wore the leggings because they were so comfortable. I didn't completely stop wearing regular trousers until about 18 weeks ish, actually still wearing a pair of black trousers to work because ibrefuse to buy new work trousers, I just use a hairband to make the wait a bit bigger lol

I was in denial with wearing mat clothes with my first, I was close to 20 weeks. This time around I have been wearing both. Mat pants are so much mor comfortable. Been wearing them on and off since I got my bfp

I always wear mat shirts as I have a lot of baby fat on my belly so I don't just bin my mat shirts I find ones I can wear pregnant or not but mat pants was about 18 weeks before my plus size pants weren't comfortable anymore.

Im still in my normal clothes! bought a few loose fitting jumpers/tops and still managing to wear my normal leggins, jeans ( Using hairband) lol I hate maternity clothes and trying to hold out as long as I can, even then with only a few months left I'll prob just buy some leggins in a bigger size.

Maternity Jeans at 8 weeks. This is second day pregnancy so I popped way earlier. Ther size 8 skinny maternity with the band for over bump so comfy. IL def be wearing them for weeks after

Really early, before I even had a bump. I couldn't stand the feeling of clothes on my stomach.

I just started wearing them this week at 24 weeks. I can still fit into my other pants but I don't like the tight feeling on my stomach anymore. Its so uncomfortable.

I hadn't planned on wearing maternity until about week 20 but at 16-17 weeks I was at H&M and thought "I'm here, might as well check out the maternity clothes". I found a pair of $20 mat jeans and I was sold! They were so much more comfortable than doing the elastic band/belly band trick, "why would I wear my regular jeans when mat jeans feel heavenly in comparison?".

It was a very exciting realization. I also got a bunch of hand-me-downs from friends so I'm rolling in tons of preggo clothes, I love it.

I always wondered why people put off maternity pants/clothes as long as possible...since you are going to buy them anyway, why not get 7 months good out of them instead of 4? why be uncomfortable when you don't have to? LOL just me though, I know some people don't really show at all until closer to 20 weeks, baffles me as I am pretty obvious from early on, I guess everyone really is different! It's so interesting to read these things, it's like skimming the bump pics thread, it's so weird how everyone is so different.

I've been wearing maternity jeans for ages cos they're just so comfy, but they keep falling down! I'll switch to maternity tops only when I need to.

Inexpensive bump bands work great for this, not just for hiding un-buttoned pre-pregnancy jeans, but also holding up looser maternity pants. I had to wear my bump band with some of mine for a while.

This is my first pregnancy and I had to start wearing maternity clothes at 20/21 weeks
